Senior E&I Technician – Oil & Gas Sector

Your Role

As a Senior E&I Technician, you will contribute to challenging projects within the oil and gas sector. You are responsible for performing, monitoring, and optimizing electrical and instrumentation work during pre-commissioning, commissioning, preventive, and corrective maintenance. Thanks to your experience, you will independently resolve complex malfunctions and actively contribute to improving operational reliability. Dutch is a requirement for this position.

What You Will Do

  • Performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities (loop checks, I/O tests, functional verifications, and start-ups).
  • Performing preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation components according to maintenance schedules.
  • Troubleshooting malfunctions in field instrumentation, control loops, motor controls, and DCS/PLC interfaces.
  • Performing complex troubleshooting, e.g., tracing faulty signals in a flow transmitter caused by EMC interference.
  • Calibrating and testing transmitters, analyzers, sensors, and control valves.
  • Guiding and supporting junior technicians and contractors during their work.
  • Reporting on completed tasks, measurement results, and deviations.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures (ATEX, VCA, Lock-out/Tag-out).

Who You Are

  • Education in Electromechanics, Electricity, or Measurement & Control Technology (A2 or Bachelor’s degree).
  • At least 8 years of experience in E&I maintenance, commissioning, or industrial projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of instrumentation, signal analysis, loop checking, PLC interfacing, and DCS systems.
  • Experience with DeltaV, Foxboro, or Honeywell TDC is a plus.
  • In possession of VCA-VOL; ATEX certification is an asset.
  • Analytical, results-oriented, and hands-on attitude.
  • Strong communication skills, with an eye for safety and collaboration.
  • Speaks fluent Dutch (crucial for communication and safety).
  • Resides in Belgium.
  • Available to start within 2 weeks.
